Two children were ejected from a vehicle in an accident on Beaumont Highway at E. Sam Houston Saturday evening. The investigation is ongoing, but police say alcohol is believed to be a factor.

Two men were speeding in their SUV, after running a red light, when they crashed into another vehicle just after 10:30 p.m. The other vehicle was occupied by an adult and three children.

Two of the children were flown to Memorial Hermann Hospital in critical condition after they were ejected through the back window of the vehicle. The third child and the adult were transported by ground to the same hospital in serious condition.

The driver and passenger of the speeding SUV were also taken to the hospital. They were listed in serious, but stable condition.
